Zerolene Old Antique Porcelain Sign - A Marvel for Its Time!

Standard Oil Refinery
The first Standard Oil Refinery, Clevland, Ohio.

Standard Oil began as an Ohio partnership formed by the well-known industrialist John D. Rockefeller, his brother William Rockefeller, and four other partners. Zerolene Motor Oil was created by the Standard Oil Company in the early 1900s. What made it unique among motor oils was its ability to flow freely at zero degrees, unlike other products on the market at that time. It revolutionized the industry because it was a way for cars to combat the cold, whereas before many engines would become sluggish and stall.

All of Our Vintage Porcelain Signs for Sale Are 100% Genuine

A Porcelain Vintage Sign of this value is an extraordinary find. Though thousands of porcelain signs were created in the early 1900s for outdoor advertising, many were lost or destroyed during World War II. An antique porcelain sign of this quality doesn’t come along everyday and we never sell reproductions. All of our signs are real porcelain, originally made for various companies, and then preserved throughout the years.
