A Real Starbucks Vintage Lighted Sign, circa the 1990s
We have a 100% genuine Starbucks vintage lighted sign for sale that was used as outdoor signage for a Starbucks location. Circa the 1990s, it features one of the original logo designs no longer in use. This is a rare opportunity to own an authentic sign made by Tubearts - the company that produces the majority of Starbucks lighted signs.
First Starbucks, opened in 1971
Starbucks began as a small coffee bean and coffee making equipment store in Seattle’s Pike Place Market. When Howard Schultz came onboard, he saw firsthand how popular espresso bars were in Italy and wanted to bring the same coffeeshop atmosphere to the U.S. After market testing for Starbucks espresso drinks proved successful, Schultz took over the company in 1985. Since then, the company has expanded at a quick rate and reached a number of milestones: first drive-thru in 1994; first Frappucino in 1995; first store outside the U.S. in Tokyo, Japan in 1996. Starbucks coffee beans also became 99% ethically sourced in 2015.
