Historical Origin And Design Inspiration

The Carmine Castle is a castle in Naples, Italy. It was one of the fortifications built by the Spaniards under viceroy Pedro Alvarez de Toledo in the mid-1500s as part of the Spanish plans to surround the city with walls and forts. It stood at what was then the south-east corner of the walled city, that wall then turning in to the north. The fortress had great strategic value in the military history of the city up to and including the defense of the Neapolitan Republic of 1799 against the returning royalist forces of king Ferdinand IV.

As Shown: Fine Dining Table And Chairs- Carmine Castle Style Naples, Italy 16th CenCH2050 Table 50"L X 48"W X 30"T, Oxen yoke trestle base style. This handmade by or master craftsman dining table is made from northern white core wood exotic cedar hand hewn, pegged and tension jointed to form a solid mass that will never become weak or wobbly. This table top is 2 3/4" thick solid joined grain matched. Also the solid 3" x 2 1/4 thick interlocking trestle base is permanently joined and mounted to the 2 3/4" thick solid cedar top. The pedestal legs include mar proof leveling feet allowing you to be able to level this table on any floor.


As Shown: Matching High Back Chairs,Color: Custom Grey & Black-wash Eggshell - Exotic Cedar - Raised Grain Texture, 19 1/2"W X 20"D X 44"T. This size allows for adult comfortable sitting and a dining space of 24". ( unlike most production tables with only 18" sitting space) These matching chairs are hand hewn, doweled and tension joined to form a solid structure that will never become loose or unstable. Seats and backs are 2 1/4" thick and posts are 2 3/4" sq. The orthopedic slight pitch of the back allows for the most comfortable dining seating. The seat size is 19 1/2"W X 20"D and each chair leg has mar proof button feet. Truly custom means You may order your chairs to fit your particular skeletal needs at no extra cost to you.

As Shown: Random Tacked Chair Leather genuine top grain leather padded seats and backs are installed using solid brass tack buttons. Each seat and back has been cushioned prior to the application of the leather. You may choose from hundreds of fabrics styles or leather colors to further customize your dining room set. Details As Shown: Finish, Color: custom grey and black-wash eggshell, hand wire brushed to raised grain texture. This allows this table to look hundreds of years old and rustic. However this finish is not crude or splintery to the touch.- Exotic Cedar - Light Distress northern white core wood exotic cedar. Our processes includes five to ten coats of hand rubbed furniture quality clear oils or water based non-toxic lacquers. It is applied, cured, rubbed and re-applied depending upon whether your order is limited edition or old growth original works. Every surface of this table and chairs is finely finished including the undersides and hidden areas. These furnishings are built to investment family heirloom quality and are finished to be virtually maintenance free and will stand the test of time. You may choose the natural color, from over 400 standard stain colors or computer color match to any color stain. Most of our finishes are water based and earth friendly. Our master blacksmiths have been classically trained, and utilize old world techniques such as coal firing, anvil hammering and hand forging to create the finest handcrafted hardware available anywhere. All of our steel work is hand patina finished by heat applying iron oxides to achieve a natural patina finish that will stand the test of time.



Nothing is Drop Forged. We create works of art "The Old Fashioned Way" using solid hand forged steel, (drop forging is a poor quality, casted copy of a hand forged work of art).Every piece of S.A.F is an original, one of a kind piece of artwork designed by artist H.J. Nick.

Patina Finish As Shown: Various Colors Of Hand Applyed Iron Oxide Patinas. Our beautiful patina finishes are hand applied using a special patented process where oxides are bonded into the metal at over 1000 degrees. This permanent finish beautifies with age. S.A.F. does not paint or faux finish any of our iron creations. Paint fades, chips and cracks over time and patinas last forever. No Drop Forged Casted Copies.
