Colorized Carving. You can order any carving colorized. In order to achieve a colorized carving, multiple stain colors are used. The stains are hand applied and blended with an artistic eye to achieve an enhanced natural appearance.

Hand Rubbed Furniture Finish: Color As Shown: Medium Walnut, Semi Gloss. Our processes include five to ten coats of hand rubbed furniture quality clear oils or water based non-toxic lacquers, depending on your finish choice (choose from over 400 standard stain colors or computer color match). Rabbeted Stop: This 1" thick door stop is a permanent part of this structural jamb. It is created by cutting a dado cut into the jamb, to receive and seal the door in a closed position.

Self Closing, Tension Adjustable Hinges: These hinges can be adjusted from 0-10 depending on the speed at which you wish your door to self close. You may also choose not to set the self closing tension.

Adjustable Tension, Roller Style Door Latch: This ensures that your door will not open in windy conditions even when the lock is not set. The roller pressure to strike plate can be adjusted to allow the push and pull resistance to be to your personal choice.

Dead Bolt: This special dead bolt lock is built for our 3" to 7" thick doors. It is high strength tungsten steel and is almost impossible to breech allowing for the best security available. You may order single cylinder (thumb turn interior) or double cylinder (keyed both sides).

Mortise Lock Heavy Duty: This special heavy duty mortise lock is produced by one of the worlds top lock manufacturers specially for our extra thick solid wood doors. This style of lock requires a large mortised pocket to allow for the steel lock mechanism to fit inside the door edge. Also the mounting plates and locking bolt are larger than that of a standard dead bolt. This type of lock allows for additional strength and security. It is high strength tungsten steel and is almost impossible to breech allowing for the best security available. You may order single cylinder (thumb turn interior) or double cylinder (keyed both sides).

Weather Package: Every door ordered pre-hung in its jamb is fitted with high density weather seals installed ensuring the best protection from the elements.

Self Sealing Mechanical Sweep: This sweep is installed in the bottom of your 3"-7" thick door and automatically raises and lowers as you open and close the door. This sweep also comes with an adjustable pressure turn that you may adjust to ensure a precise seal every time. This type of sweep retracts into the bottom of the door as it opens to clear your interior entrance rug or flooring.

Adjustable Heavy Duty Crush Proof Threshold: This adjustable saddle threshold allows for a perfect seal when you close your door keeping the weather elements and creatures out. ADA compliant and commercial thresholds available.

Most manufacturer's cabinets come as individual boxes or sections that have to be fitted together.

Many manufacturers, no matter the perceived quality build fake or faux kitchen and bath cabinets with built-in obsolescence using paste boards, veneers, masonite, MDO plywood, melamine and oriented strand board panels with expensive wood sounding names such as walnut or hickory. Usually the only real woods that are used, if any, are found in the doors. With that idea in mind, these type of cabinets will need replacement over and over again therefore creating a regenerating market. Finding structure within the cabinet to mount to the walls can also be a problem.

Our Cabinets Are Solid Real Wood All Over, Built As Full Sections And Easy To Install.

Scottsdale Art Factory cabinets are usually built full section and retrofitted together at our factory saving you many man hours of unnecessary on-site installation, assembly and trim time. An additional benefit of this full section building is that there are no unwanted interior dividing walls or the dividing walls can be placed exactly where you want them. This allows for additional internal usable space and flexibility.

All shelves, back walls, floors, sides, drawers, bottoms etc. are solid finished timber and handmade by or master craftsman. Most of our custom cabinets are made from furniture quality, exotic northern white, core wood cedar. However all solid wood species are available. These solid woods are hand hewn, pegged and tenon joined to form a solid mass.

We use solid timbers and boards that we mill directly from the tree. This allows us the flexibility to create structural thickness that is never laminated. This also allows for special structural crafting to accept any appliance no matter the vintage or maker without structural loss. These cabinets are fine finished pieces of furniture that are as easy to install as furniture.

The first churches and monasteries built by the Spaniards in the 16th century were made of adobe with straw roofs. However, knowing that these types of structures would not stand up to the elements, buildings in New Spain as it is known today began being built of stone.

Golf Tips

The easiest stroke in golf is the putting stroke. That"™s because it"™s the only stroke where a player"™s eyes are set directly over the golf ball. With the eyes directly over the ball, a golfer can easily stroke the club straight back and through along the target line, compared to a full-swing path that runs much more like a circle due the fact that the golfer"™s eyes are set inside the target line.

Because the putting stroke is the most accurate method of striking a golf ball, many pros use the putting technique on chip shots. The key is to position yourself over the ball in the same manner you would a putt, i.e. eyes directly over the golf ball. Then, grip the club the same way you"™d grip your putter, with both thumbs running directly down the shaft. Relax your elbows. If you"™re a left-hand-low putter, you can chip left-hand low.

If you don"™t already have a hybrid chipping iron in your bag, you can turn your 8- or 9- iron into a putter by tilting it upright so the club head is setting on the toe, with the heel up off the ground. By altering the lie of your iron, you"™ll have to strike the ball slightly out on the toe to assure a solid hit.

Position the ball back in your stance. Now, move the club back and through on a straight line, and concentrate on hitting down on the ball. By setting up exactly as you would for a putt, your mind will consider it to be just as easy. And it will be.

When chipping in this manner, especially with an 8- or 9- iron, the ball won"™t perform as it does when struck by a sand or pitching wedge. The ball will fly much lower and travel with less spin. Therefore, plan accordingly. Aim to land the ball halfway between you and your target and allow the ball to roll the rest of the way, behaving more like a putt than a typical chip shot.

Most manufacturer's cabinets come as individual boxes or sections that have to be fitted together.
Many manufacturers, no matter the perceived quality build fake or faux kitchen and bath cabinets with built-in obsolescence. using paste boards, veneers, masionite, MDO plywood, melamine and oriented strand board panel with expensive wood sounding names such as walnut or hickory. Usually the only real woods that are used, if any, are found in the doors. With the idea in mind, these type of cabinets will need replacement over and over again therefore creating a regenerating market. Finding structure within the cabinet to mount to the walls can also be a problem.

Our Cabinets Are Solid Wood All Over, Built As Full Sections And Easy To Install.

Scottsdale Art Factory cabinets are usually built full section and retrofitted together at our factory saving many man hours of unnecessary on-site installation, assembly and trim time. An additional benefit of this full section building is that there are no unwanted interior dividing walls or the dividing walls can be placed exactly where you want them. This allows for additional internal usable space and flexibility.

All shelves, back walls, floors, sides, drawers, bottoms etc. are solid finished timber. Handmade by or master craftsman, most of our custom cabinets are made from furniture quality, exotic northern white, core wood cedar. However all solid wood species are available. These solid woods are hand hewn, pegged and tenon joined to form a solid mass.

We use solid timbers and boards that we mill directly from the tree. This allows us the flexibility to create structural thickness that is never laminated. This also allows for special structural crafting to accept any appliance no matter the vintage or maker without structural loss. These cabinets are fine finished pieces of furniture that are as easy to install as furniture.

Rabbeted Stop: This 1" thick door stop is a permanent part of this structural jamb. It is created by cutting a dado cut into the jamb, to receive and seal the door in a closed position.
